Operations Research

Optimise the design and operation of complex systems relying on scarce resources such as people, machinery, materials, money and natural resources. Develop skills using a variety of software and advanced analytical methods such as stochastic and mathematical modelling, and mathematical optimisation.

About the course

Statisticians are specialists in applying mathematical and statistical theory, and using modern computing, to provide insights to data and reasoning around uncertainty. Develop advanced statistical and analytical skills using applications and datasets from the real world. The use of statistics is prevalent across so many areas such as engineering, science, health, business and education. Statisticians work with people in other disciplines and professions.
