X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p><strong>Pride and Courage: Celebrating queer history at QUT and in Queensland</strong></p><p>The QUT Centre for Justice and the QUT Digital Media Research Centre will host a special Pride Month event on September 24 at Kelvin Grove to celebrate the people\, stories and acts of courage that have shaped queer history at QUT and across Queensland.</p><p>The event will include:</p><ul><li><strong><strong>The Queer History of QUT -</strong></strong>&nbsp\;The screening of a documentary uncovering the stories of staff\, students and advocates who challenged discrimination and helped make QUT a safer and more inclusive place.</li><li><strong><strong>Panel Discussion:</strong></strong>&nbsp\;A&nbsp\;panel discussion exploring pride\, courage\, advocacy and the continuing journey towards inclusion and equality.</li><li><strong><strong>&ldquo\;Queen&rsquo\;s Land&nbsp\;</strong></strong>- A documentary created by QUT undergraduate Elowyn Gampe in association with QUT graduate E.C. Lewin\, exploring the people\, experiences and events that have shaped queer history in Queensland.</li><li><strong><strong>Lunch + Interactive Display:&nbsp\;</strong></strong>Lunch will be held in E Block\, QUT Kelvin Grove\, where there will be a&nbsp\;display of research on sexual and reproductive health.</li></ul><p>The event is hosted by the Centre for Justice&#39\;s Queer Research Group and the DMRC&#39\;s Queer and Feminist Digital Media Research Group.</p><p><strong>Free tickets:&nbsp\;<a href="https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/pride-month-2026-tickets-1999007162234?">Pride and Courage: Celebrating queer history at QUT and in Queensland</a></strong>&nbsp\;</p><p>&nbsp\;</p>
