The Queensland Bridge Competition is a fun and challenging opportunity for students to test their engineering skills to build the strongest spaghetti bridge to claim a \;prize. \;
The Queensland \;Bridge Competition is back again in 2026. \;
QUT in partnership with The Engineering Link Group\, Engineers Australia\, and Queensland Government through the Transport and Main Roads challenge students \;to build the strongest bridge possible out of store-bought spaghetti and glue. \;Winners not only take bragging rights but \;also part of the $2000 prize pool on offer.
The bridge competition is open to Queensland students from grades 5 to 12\, and \;students can register as an individual or through their school in teams of up to 4 students.
Bridges will be tested across multiple locations\, the main testing day is held at QUT Gardens Point campus on Monday 10 \;August 2026.
