Power of Engineering 2026 - Once Per Term*
A program for female students in high school
The Power of Engineering \;program is an initiative designed to inspire and engage female students to explore the field of engineering and related STEM careers. We offer this program to young women in years 7-12. The program includes engineering-related workshops\, presentations from engineers\, and\, where possible\, site visits \;to showcase the real-world applications of engineering and its potential to solve global challenges.
Power of Engineering aims to: \;
Break Stereotypes: Address misconceptions about engineering being male-dominated or solely technical by highlighting diverse career opportunities.
Increase Awareness: Expose students to various engineering disciplines\, such as environmental\, biomedical\, mechanical\, and civil engineering.
Provide Role Models: Offer opportunities to meet and interact with professional engineers\, especially women\, to inspire students through real-life success stories.
Foster Problem-Solving Skills: Engage participants in practical\, hands-on activities to demonstrate the creative and impactful nature of engineering work.
In collaboration with industry partners and academics\, we offer Power of Engineering once per term* to provide more opportunities for young women to learn more about the world of engineering. Please select from the following to book in for Power of Engineering. \;
