The QUT Academy of Learning and Teaching (QALT) are thrilled to announce their 700th HEA Fellow at QUT.
Professor Kevin Ashford-Rowe was welcomed as a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (PFHEA) by QALT Director, Professor Abby Cathcart (PFHEA).
Having worked at Australian Catholic University (ACU) and Griffith University before joining QUT in early 2019 as Pro-Vice Chancellor (Digital Learning), Kevin has demonstrated strategic leadership in learning and teaching across the wider higher education community.
"HEA Fellowship has provided me with a valuable, considered and rigorous mechanism through which I’ve been able to reflect upon my personal journey of leadership in learning and teaching," Professor Kevin Ashford-Rowe (PFHEA) said.
To achieve his Principal Fellowship, Kevin was required to demonstrate sustained evidence of strategic impact in learning and teaching.
His application showed his commitment to enhancing the quality of students' learning experiences and ensuring staff are supported in their roles as educators.
QALT are thrilled that Kevin's commitment to learning and teaching has been recognised using this global benchmark.
Recognition of those who teach and support learning is available across a range of roles at QUT through our Higher Education Academy fellowship scheme run by QALT.
