‘I know the areas I can improve on, but overall and particularly as we were a Nation that travelled so far to get to the event, I’m really happy with my performances at the competition.
‘I’m working towards achieving a place on the Paralympic team next year whilst balancing my study in Early Childhood Education.
‘The support I receive from the QUT Elite Athlete Program enables me to focus on my swimming and study, as it’s really important that I’m able to work towards my long term career aspirations,’ Watson said.
