About Next level

The QUT Next Level masterclass program provides an opportunity for individuals and teams who have an existing venture to refine, develop, validate and grow their concept or business. It is a beginner level, a cohort-based, online pre-acceleration program that is open to everyone. It is delivered and facilitated by experienced entrepreneurs and industry practitioners.

Who is the program for?

It is a beginner level, cohort-based, introductory program that is open to everyone. It provides an opportunity for those who have an idea or an existing venture to refine, develop, validate and establish a new business.

Both teams and individual participants are welcome to participate in Next Level.

Masterclass schedule

Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm to 9pm.

Validation: How to validate your idea.

Problem Deep Dive: Understanding the problem you are solving, identify the need to create a new product or service.

Week 2 

28 April - Session 3 (Tutorial)

Customer Profiling & Journey Mapping: Who is your customer, Market Segmentation, user profiles, customer personas

Solution Overview: Servicing your customer and mapping full life cycle, identify the unique value proposition, and competitive advantage

Customer Acquisition & Go to market strategy: Understanding the customer decision making, sales and marketing process and avenues to acquire customers.

Week 3

5 May - Session 5 (Tutorial)

7 May - Session 6 (Group work)


Business Models & Pricing: Business models, pricing framework, customer lifetime value, cost of acquisition.

Product prototyping and MVP creation: how to design & build your product with tools and hacks to gather data and evidence to test your solution.

Week 4

12 May - Session 7 (Tutorial)

14 May - Session 8 (Group work)


Growth, Scaling & Teams: Addressable market, product plan and people/team growth and scale mapping. 

Pitching: for sales, PR,  Marketing and investment

Week 5
