Community coffee

Opportunity for students and staff across campus to connect socially over coffee with the foundry team and our entrepreneurial community. Alternating between campuses and held fortnightly on a Tuesday.

  • Gardens Point campus: 10-11am monthly commencing 10 March at Merlo Coffee, V Block
  • Kelvin Grove campus: 10-11am monthly commencing 25 February at Beadles on the Quad, T Block

Gardens Point

Our Gardens Point location in B Block, Level 2, is a dedicated student-centered entrepreneurship space. It's a multi-purpose, changeable area which includes computer labs, collaborative and working spaces, and a kitchen in a lively atmosphere. You’ll be able to participate in our workshops, programs and events.

Kelvin Grove

Our recently opened Kelvin Grove location, located in the library at R Block, Level 2, is an open access student-centred entrepreneurship space. It's a multi-purpose, changeable area for co-working, mentor sessions, community meetups and events.

The Precinct

The Precinct, located on level one at the T.C. Beirne building on Brunswick Street in Fortitude Valley, is designed for more mature entrepreneurship teams. This space gives invited participants a concierge environment to connect with other innovative businesses and professionals.

StartMIT with QUT Entrepreneurship

StartMIT is a 2.5 week program for students curious about entrepreneurship. It is an introduction to the skillset and spirit required for startup founders, and exposure to the resources available at MIT and QUT along your entrepreneurial journey. Five (5) places are available for continuing QUT students. EOI applications are now open and will close on 4 December.

MIT fuse with QUT Entrepreneurship

MIT fuse is a 2.5 week program for student teams or innovative individuals with an established business idea looking to work, think, and talk like an entrepreneur, and start the journey towards becoming a company. There are three (3) positions available for QUT student teams in this program. EOI applications are now open and will close on 4 December.

We're enhancing local entrepreneurship and digital leadership capabilities by delivering immersive experiences for our MBA students, academic staff and entrepreneurial-minded community, in collaboration with MIT Sloan School of Management.
