Our members have created successful businesses and pitched to real business leaders. Entrepreneur coaching

The QUT foundry ensures you don't have to choose between your studies or your entrepreneurial business.

We offer coaching support from:

  • community managers
  • entrepreneurs in residence
  • mentors.

You don't have to come with an idea - you just need to bring an open mind to entrepreneurship and collaboration.

Locations

Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove

Our Gardens Point location in B Block, Level 2, is a dedicated student-centred entrepreneurship space. It's a multi-purpose, changeable area which includes computer labs, collaborative and working spaces, and a kitchen in a lively atmosphere. You’ll be able to participate in our workshops, programs and events.

Our Kelvin Grove location will be opening in 2020.

The Precinct

Our QUT foundry at The Precinct in Fortitude Valley is designed for more mature entrepreneurship teams. This space will give invited participants a concierge environment to connect with other innovative businesses and professionals in Fortitude Valley.

Leading digital transformation

We're enhancing local entrepreneurship and digital leadership capabilities by delivering immersive experiences for our MBA students, academic staff and entrepreneurial-minded community, in collaboration with MIT Sloan School of Management.

Programs

Programs include QUT Big Idea competition, Startup Matchup, Indigenous Entrepreneurship, and social impact programs.

Mentoring

Benefit from mentoring sessions with our experienced entrepreneur in residence.

Extended access

You could have 7 days a week access to the QUT foundry, depending on your level of involvement.

McKeeley Makin added the entrepreneurship university-wide minor to her Bachelor of Business (Marketing) degree.

Add entrepreneurship to your degree

Set your studies apart and add an entrepreneurship minor to your degree.

With our entrepreneurship minor, you'll be supplementing your studies as well as your business ventures by crafting your entrepreneurial mindset. These courses focus on creativity, resilience, innovation, key drivers for success and personal development as an entrepreneur.
