Our alumni in the US are doing incredible things!

Justine Armour



Justine Armour, Executive Creative Director at New York advertising company 72andSunny, earned a place on Adweek’s 2019 Creative 100 List.

Emma Cillekens


New York-based journalism graduate Emma Cillekens won a 2019 Webby Award for her work as a producer on the popular podcast The Future of Everything (Season 3).

Darren Hayes



Los Angeles-based alumnus Darren Hayes was awarded the Order of Australia for service to music as a songwriter and performer as part of this year’s Queen’s Birthday honours.

Kennedy and Vanco

Creative Industries alumni Madeleine Kennedy and Marcus Vanco launched their sci-fi/fantasy series We Were Tomorrow at Comic Con San Diego on July 20. The series is the first Australian television show of its kind and was filmed in South-East Queensland, Los Angeles, China and Thailand.

Meggie Palmer



Founder and CEO of PepTalkHer, Meggie Palmer, was featured in the Vogue Codes podcast series. Meggie talks about how she champions artificial intelligence and innovations in technology to help close the gender pay gap.

Ellen Shanley


Brisbane’s Ellen Shanley spent a year in Los Angeles to attend The UCLA School of Theater, Film & Television’s Professional Programs. Last month, she won the Writing for Television Drama Pilot category in the 2018-19 UCLA Professional Programs Writing for Television Competition.

Brendan Sheehan



New York-based alumnus Brendan Sheehan named on the Friends of the Royal Flying Doctor Services USA Board.
