Golden Graduates

This year, the Golden Graduates Morning Tea will become part of a larger Alumni Reunion event, where graduates of QUT and our predecessor institutions are invited back to the QUT campus.

The Alumni Reunion is an opportunity to reunite with friends for your college days and to see how the campus has changed over the years.

The event will be held on Saturday 19 October 2019 at both Kelvin Grove and Gardens Point campus.

Tickets are $25 to attend a faculty morning tea of your choice. There will also be other events offered on campus, such as faculty tours and entertainment by the QUT Music Society.

You are considered a QUT Golden Graduate if you completed your studies during or before 1969, at one of our predecessor institutions:

  • Central Technical College
  • Queensland Teacher's Training College
  • Domestic Science College
  • Brisbane Kindergarten Training College
  • Kelvin Grove campus Teaching College
  • Kedron Park campus Teaching College.

As a former student you may have attended our Kelvin Grove, Turbot Street, Gregory Terrace or the current Gardens Point campus and graduated from studies such as:

  • teaching
  • domestic science/home science/home economics at Gregory Terrace
  • kindergarten teaching
  • building
  • mechanical, electrical and civil engineering
  • fitting and turning, cabinet making, sheep and wool
