Tom is our alumni panel host for the 2021 webinar series and the Director of Edison Talent, a Brisbane based IT recruitment company that specialises in Software Development, Leadership and Strategy. After finishing an IT Degree in Data Communications from QUT, Tom moved into Network Administration and then into IT Recruitment. He now runs a team of approximately 25 consultants nationally who work across everything from finance, security, mining, bitcoin, and weapons tech.

Emily is the Talent Attraction Specialist at Canstar- Australia’s largest comparison website. Emily recruits for all roles across the business covering everything from technology, digital, marketing, journalism, business support, research, commercial and sales and data analytics.
Emily completed her studies at QUT graduating with a dual degree in Business and Creative Industries majoring in Human Resources and Music and then went on to work as a generalist HR consultant prior to commencing at Canstar.
One of Australia’s leading creative writers and public commentators on diversity and representation in the media has been named the QUT Creative Industries Faculty Outstanding Alumni Award winner.
