What to expect

Attracting and retaining top talent has become a critical focus for companies, driven by technological, social, and demographic changes. Companies are using technology and tailored HR systems to attract key talent and specific talent pools. In this program, you'll delve into the essential concepts and theoretical foundations of talent management. You'll then apply these theories, models, and practices to a real-world employment situation. Additionally, you'll collaborate with a team to assess the role of technology in managing talent effectively and efficiently.

As part of this program, you'll also learn to develop strategic human resource management policies for organisations and analyse, diagnose and provide recommendations for implementing organisational change. You will also acquire self-management knowledge and the skills for effective communication and the management of others to contribute to organisational performance.

Finally, through hands-on learning opportunities, you'll grow your coaching skills to become a well-versed coach. This will provide you with a deep understanding of how coaching contributes to leadership development and nurtures a coaching culture within an organisation. To support this journey, you'll join our peer coaching program, which involves both coaching others and being coached by fellow students through coaching circles.

Flexible delivery

Units in this postgraduate program are delivered using a mix of face-to-face, online and blended learning technologies. All course materials are placed online including course lecture materials, practical session guides, readings and help guides.

International double masters program

If you would like to attain two internationally accredited masters in just 18 months, you may consider our international double masters program. In an exchange study, you complete part of your degree at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Through cross-crediting of your course content, you are able to obtain the full degrees from both institutions – and you may be able to complete the double degree in the same time that it would take you to complete your QUT Master of Business program. For more information, visit international double degrees.
