Why choose this course?

This program is designed for executives, consultants, and HR professionals with a global mind-set who seek to sharpen their leadership practice through coaching and mentoring, and possibly become coaching champions in their organisations.

Today’s leaders are faced with the reality of a VUCA world: one of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity. New approaches are needed that engage with this reality.

A new field of complexity leadership is emerging which gives attention to how people connect and engage with interrelated organisational systems. Coaching is a conversational methodology for leadership that generates thoughts, emotions and behaviours that drive in this direction. In this program you will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with your own coach and participate in group coaching, led by your coach.

What to expect

The Executive Graduate Certificate in Business (Leadership through Coaching and Mentoring) delivers advanced thinking and competencies for leaders who are using or are intending to use coaching and mentoring approaches to develop the full capacity of their staff. Ultimately it is designed to equip participants with the skills and confidence to expertly hold coaching conversations and to develop a coaching culture within their organisation.

Flexible delivery

Following online orientation and preparatory work you will consolidate your learning with an intensive, three-day workshop in Brisbane. The program is then delivered online. Mobile/smart phone and other technologies are used to engage participants in highly interactive webinars, group work, peer coaching, and workplace projects. Your learning journey is completed with a two-day workshop in Brisbane where you present the outcomes of your high impact project.
