The Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies (ACPNS) internships

ACPNS, in conjunction with The Myer Foundation, offers postgraduate philanthropy and nonprofit studies students the opportunity to become an intern with a leading family philanthropic organisation.

We ensure you are exposed to the international environment as much as possible during your studies. We encourage you to undertake international exchange with institutions in a wide variety of destinations around the world, and actively encourage and support you to participate in global MBA and other postgraduate competitions.

Co-operative Education for Enterprise Development Corporation Technologies (CEED)

CEED links students from three of Queensland's major universities with companies and government departments to produce industry-based projects. CEED specialises in projects in Business, Marketing, Human Resources and Finance in addition to non-business disciplines.

Candidates benefit from a financial scholarship, credit points towards their degree and intensive industry-based experience and connections.

ExecU-link gives QUT MBA students and alumni the unique opportunity to showcase a personalised career profile online to a number of the world's most sought-after employers, enabling them to browse your details and contact you with employment opportunities.

PricewaterhouseCoopers Alliance (PwC) 

Our connection with PwC has multi facets:

  • senior practitioners and experts from the organisation provide guest lectures for the MBA
  • PwC run regular recruitment events within the School which gives QUT MBA graduates the opportunity to work with the world's largest professional services firm
  • PwC sponsor the Business Plans Challenge and offer a prize to the leading business project.

Master Class Series

Our Master Class Series features distinguished expert and thought leader discussion panels to help deepen your discipline knowledge and improve your business thinking and leadership capabilities. Held six times a year, the Master classes are free of charge to current postgraduate business students and alumni.

Business competition

Opportunities are available to MBA and Master of Business students to help develop entrepreneurial skills. Candidates can pitch a new business idea or venture in business plan competitions, at both prestigious national and international events, such as the John Heine Competition and maiBangkok Business Challenge @ Sasin.

'Real-world' businesses have successfully launched through the valuable feedback and guidance received at competition.

BEC Incubator

BEC Incubator support postgraduate Business students in all disciplines to initiate and grow new business ventures by learning from industry professionals and QUT Graduate Business School alumni expertise, in addition to entering Business Competitions.
