Funding from CRC ORE (Optimising Resource Extraction) will support CMBI researchers to develop mining sector-specific tools to assess and manage organisational cultural change to support innovation adoption and diffusion.

The project "Developing business and eco-system management tools to support technology diffusion and overcome organisational and behavioural barriers to change", will develop two key tools for mining firms.

The assessment tool will help to identify obstacles to change arising form management systems and organisational structures.  The process model will enable mining firms and their sub-units to successfully adopt and sustain value from new technologies.  Together, these tools will assist in understanding the current environment, and propose a range of operational solutions applicable to different organisational levels within mining firms.
