What do you see as the biggest challenge facing SEEK today?

Making sure SEEK moves fast enough and with the right strategy to capitalise on our global growth opportunities amongst aggressive competitors. If we do this well, we will deliver great outcomes for our candidates and hirers, keep our competitors at bay and generate great returns for our shareholders.

What has been your career highlight to date?

SEEK is now in its 20th year of operation and it has been a great privilege to be part of an organisation that makes a positive difference on a global scale. We have helped millions of candidates and students find jobs and education and build careers.

What values are important to you in business?

SEEK is a purpose driven organisation where all our strategies and operations are about achieving our purpose of “To help people live more fulfilling and productive working lives and help organisations succeed”. SEEK is also a “people first culture” where we genuinely care about our people and their well-being, well beyond just their working lives.

What advice would you give to young entrepreneurs?

To build a strong business you need a clear view of the difference that you want to make in the world. Success depends mostly on the value you are able to deliver. It is also important to take a long term perspective, be resilient and be very careful about the people you choose to share the journey with. If there is not alignment on values with your key people everything becomes much harder.
