QUT's Mental Health Week aims to raise community awareness about mental health issues and promote social and emotional wellbeing to QUT students.

Events for this year will include free massages for students at QUT Counselling Services' Chill Out Zone in the library, mindfulness sessions and more.

Wellness Wednesday
8am-3.30pm, Wednesday 7 October, Lumpy Lawn Gardens Point
- Colouring in court
- Free fairy floss, popcorn and snow cones in the Law Library

Chill out Zones
11am-1pm & 4pm-6pm, Wednesday 7th October and Thursday the 8th October.
QUT Counselling Services is offering free 5 minute massages for students in the libraries. You can find us at Gardens Point Library Level 3 newspaper area on Wednesday; and Kelvin Grove Library Level 4 of Music Collection on Thursday. There will be information and resources in the Library on Mental Health and wellbeing. While you wait for your massage, you can chat with a Counsellor and do some Mindfulness colouring in.

Mindfulness
Wednesday 7 October and Thursday 8 October
QUT Counselling Services runs free mindfulness meditation drop-in sessions on campus during semester two. Sessions are held every Wednesday 12:15pm -1pm in the Gardens Point Library on Level 7; and every Thursday 12:00 -12:50 pm in R403 in the Kelvin Grove Library.

My Time Yoga
4pm-5pm, Wednesday 7 October and Friday 9 October
Join QUT club My Time for Yoga. During Mental Health Week the sessions will be free.
Come to Iglu Student Village Accommodation (62 Blamey St, Kelvin Grove) on Wednesday and Gardens Point Campus - S308 on Friday.

Problem Solving Cafe
10am-12pm, Thursday 8 October, Caboolture Library
Drop in and chat to counsellors and get info on mental health and well-being.

Dance to de-stress
12pm-1pm, Thursday 8 October, KG-P106
Warm up with "free dancing" then practice basics of tango.

Learn Basic Techniques and Application to reduce stress and promote relaxation.
