Do you want to solve wicked health problems and work on big social issues? Do you want to build the entrepreneurial skills and mindset to have real impact on the world?

Hosted by QUT Entrepreneurship and QUT Health, this inaugural Hack for Health is an eight hour virtual event that will bring together students and staff across faculties for a jam packed day of ideating, designing and building to solve big health problems.

Hackathons empower teams to apply a user-centred design process to short-cut the build to launch cycle by prototyping, testing and learning from ideas generated.

Format:

  • Discover Big Health Problems and Needs during the problem pitch session at the start of the day from industry partners
  • Form Teams on the day following the pitches and assemble online to work on your solution
  • Learn strategies for entrepreneurial problem solving through quick fire workshops for the big problems
  • Build out your innovative business model or creative prototype solution
  • Pitch your solution at the end of the day to a panel of judges

Who can participate?

  • All QUT staff and students are welcome, health is everyone's business.
