Event

16 March 2018

Open to QUT MBA and Executive MBA associates, alumni and their guests.

Join us at our first ‘Insight Bites’ Networking event of the year on Friday March 16. We will be joined by Nic Marchesi and Lucas Patchett – Young Australians of the Year (2016) and founders of the highly successful social enterprise, Orange Sky Laundry.

Lucas and Nic will reflect upon their journey as young social entrepreneurs and reveal how the power of conversation has motivated them and propelled their rapid growth.

About Orange Sky Australia:

In October 2014, two best mates had a crazy idea to put two washing machines and two dryers in the back of a van, and wash and dry clothes for free. Nicholas Marchesi and Lucas Patchett founded Orange Sky Laundry – a world-first, free mobile laundry service for the homeless.

On a mission to improve hygiene standards, Nic and Lucas stumbled on something much bigger and more significant – the power of a conversation.

Now facilitated by more than 1000 volunteers across the country, Orange Sky Australia aims to positively connect the community and dispel myths about homelessness.
