MIT Innovation and Entrepreneurial Bootcamp

MIT Innovation and Entrepreneurship Bootcamp

The prestigious MIT Bootcamps will return to QUT in 2018 to offer a week-long intensive program for budding innovators, entrepreneurs and change-makers. In partnership with Advance Queensland, the MIT Innovation and Entrepreneurial Bootcamp will be hosted by QUT from 10-16 February 2018.

About MIT Bootcamps

The MIT Innovation and Entrepreneurial Bootcamp will bring together some of the best and brightest from around the globe to focus on the Future of Sustainability.

The week-long program challenges participants to build technology-driven ventures that provide innovative and scalable solutions to problems in the environment, agriculture and mining resource sectors.

This follows on from the highly successful MIT Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp held at QUT in March 2017, which was attended by 120 participants from 35 countries.

MIT Bootcamps are an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and condense curriculum taught in several MIT courses into a concentrated active learning experience delivered by internationally renowned speakers and senior educators.

Please note applications have now closed.

The cost of the MIT Innovation and Entrepreneurial Bootcamp is $6000 (US dollars), which covers tuition and food for the duration of the program. Participants are encouraged to seek sponsorship and apply for scholarships.

QUT will offer three full scholarships to Queenslanders attending the bootcamp, including one specifically for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander participant.

MIT Bootcamps Trek: Sustainability in Context

In 2018, MIT Bootcamps will offer an optional trek to the Great Barrier Reef from 7-10 February. This trek will have an intensive program of guest speakers, activities and workshops that are designed to inspire participant thinking and develop their understanding of sustainability in the context of sectors important to Queensland’s future.

This opportunity is available to all successful Bootcamp applicants, however the trek will be limited to 40 participants. The trek will cost $2000 (US dollars), including flights, transfers, shared accommodation, and food. We are unable to provide scholarships towards trek fees.
