MIT Innovation and Entrepreurship Bootcamp

The prestigious MIT Innovation and Entrepreneurship Bootcamp was held at QUT from 10-16 February 2018. In partnership with Advance Queensland, the Bootcamp offered budding innovators, entrepreneurs and change-makers a week-long intensive program to inspire their ideas and accelerate their projects.

The Bootcamp brought together the best and brightest from around the globe to focus on the Future of Sustainability. The week-long program challenged participants to build technology-driven ventures that provided innovative and scalable solutions to problems in the environment, agriculture and mining resource sectors.

MIT Bootcamps Trek: Sustainability in Context

In 2018, MIT Bootcamps offered an optional Trek in advance of the main bootcamp, from 7-10 February. Participants travelled to Lady Elliot Island on the Great Barrier Reef for an intensive program of guest speakers, activities and workshops. The Trek kick-started participant thinking and contextualised their understanding of sustainability in sectors important to Queensland’s future.
