MIT Bootcamp

MIT Innovation and Entrepreneurship Bootcamp

The prestigious MIT Innovation and Entrepreneurship Bootcamp will be held for the 3rd year in a row at QUT from 2-8 February 2019. In partnership with MIT Bootcamps and Advance Queensland, we offer budding innovators, entrepreneurs and change-makers a week-long intensive program to inspire their ideas and accelerate their projects.

The Bootcamp brings together the best and brightest from around the globe to work in teams and learn how to build a scalable solution to an opportunity ready for innovation. Opportunities may be a result of technological change and development, changes in markets or in relation to social, economic or environmental problems. Solutions can be in an array of forms and may lead to the development of new ventures or even new products, processes or systems within existing organisations. Innovation everywhere points to understanding that innovative opportunities can have creative solutions when we use our individual differences.

Bootcampers will hear from and meet with local Queensland entrepreneurs and innovators, experience the facilities in Brisbane that have been established to support innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as interact with MIT Faculty and alumni of previous MIT Bootcamps.

Applications open in July 2018.

MIT Bootcamps Trek

In 2019, an optional Trek will be offered in advance of the main Bootcamp, from 31 January-2 February 2019. Participants will travel to a beautiful Queensland location for an intensive program of guest speakers, activities and teambuilding. The Trek will kick-start Bootcampers thinking about opportunities, particularly those important to Queensland’s future.
