The University provides a free shuttle bus service to assist students and staff travelling between the Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses for the purpose of attending lectures or attending to University business. The 391 service is operated for the University by Brisbane Transport. QUT staff, students and visitors are able to travel free on route 391 but will need to show the driver their QUT identity card or temporary bus pass when boarding the bus. Visitors on official QUT business can get a temporary bus pass by filling out a temporary bus pass request form.
Services operate all year round, excluding weekends, public holidays and the days between Christmas Day and New Years Day when the University is closed. The 391 timetable varies in frequency during the year. A 10 minute service is provided during semester 1 and 2, and a 15 minute service at other times. The timetable is also available via HiQ where you can obtain the departure times for the next 4 services. While every reasonable attempt is made to adhere to the arrival and departure times listed on the timetable, the services are affected by traffic conditions and there may be some delays during the course of the day, particularly at peak travel times. It is therefore recommended that you plan your trip accordingly.
