Dr Ying Yang
This person does not currently hold a position at QUT.
BiographyDr Ying Yang is now a Postdoc Researcher at Queensland University of Technology, Australia. She holds Bachelor of Engineering and Bachelor of Management (June, 2012) and PhD degree from Southwest Jiaotong University, China (June, 2017). She was awarded with the Outstanding Graduate in SWJTU in 2016. Her PhD project focuses on the development of biomimetic/bioinspired materials for biological application and new strategies based on biomimetic endothelium function for addressesing the long term complications associated with blood-contacting devices, especially for vascular stents. Her research interest includes tissue engineering, bone and soft tissue regeneration, immunology, surface modification and patterning, biomimetic/bioinspired materials, coagulation mechanism, synthesis of nitric oxide-generating coatings and drug delivery. She is now the Chief Investigator of ITI Research Grant (International Team for Implantology, Switzerland) and IHBI ECR Development Scheme (QUT). She also participates in two projects from Natural Science Foundation of China. She finished the Cultivation Program for Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of SWJTU and the Science and Technology Innovation Project of Sichuan Province, China during her PhD journey. To date, she has (co)authored 19 SCI journal papers and 7 conference abstracts, including Chemistry of Materials, Biomaterials, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Journey of Materials Chemistry B, etc. She is the peer reviewer of journey Colloids and Surfaces B: Biointerfaces.
