Professional memberships and associations

Professor Vahid M. Nik collaborates as an Adjunct Associate Professor with the Institute for Future Environments (IFE). He is an Associate Professor (Docent) in Sweden, working at the division of Building Physics, Lund University and the division of Building Technology, Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. His background is Mechanical Engineering with master’s degrees in Energy Conversion and Fluid Dynamics. He received his PhD in Building Physics from Chalmers University of Technology in 2012. He was a postdoctoral fellow at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) in Switzerland before joining Lund University in 2014. His research interests are:

  • Impact assessment of climate change
  • Energy efficiency in buildings
  • Simulation and assessment of the hygrothermal performance of buildings
  • Urban physics
  • Infrastructure physics
  • Urban energy systems
  • Statistical and probabilistic analysis
