Biography
Mai Thi Ngoc Tran is a public health lecturer and researcher. She has been employed by the School of Public Health and Social Work since 2018. With her expertise in Epidemiology and health statistic, she is currently teaching the highly regarded course HLN710 and leading engaging classes on Epidemiology and Research Methods at QUT.Beyond her teaching responsibilities, Mai Thi Ngoc Tran is actively involved in cutting-edge research. Her vast knowledge extends to various public health areas, with a special focus on substance abuse, HIV/AIDS and Global Burden Diseases. She excels in conducting systematic literature reviews, exploring field epidemiology and interventions, and analyzing policies across a range of health subjects.
Mai Thi Ngoc Tran's commitment to advancing the field of Epidemiology translates into a remarkable learning experience for her students. By instilling a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter, she mentors undergraduate and postgraduate students with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel in their academic and professional pursuits.
