Ms Teresa Sedgley

BiographyTeresa Sedgley is currently employed as a lecturer in the School of Learning and Professional Studies. She teaches in undergraduate and postgraduate educational courses and teaches and provides clinical and research supervision in the Master of Psychology (Educational and Developmental) program.
Teresa has completed postgraduate training in educational and clinical psychology and gained experience in these areas while employed in the Child and Youth Mental Health Service. Prior to becoming a registered psychologist, Teresa was employed as a medical researcher for the Department of Primary Industries.
Teresa's diverse work history has fostered an interest in the integration of biology, neurology and psychology, and her research reflects this interdisciplinary approach. Her current research interests include
- the biological and psychological factors associated with trauma
- developmental processes in trauma
- coping strategies
- cognitive processes
- early intervention.
