Teaching interests

  • developing and implementing the School of Accountancy's generic skills program;
  • teaching in both Financial Accounting and Financial Accounting Issues;
  • establishing two new subjects in International Accounting at both the UG and PG levels which focus on current international business issues in: IFRS-based, external financial accounting, reporting, disclosure, regulation and enforcement - across the major cultural groupings of Anglo Saxon, Germanic/Latin, Asian, the Middle East and Africa; international comparative auditing, international corporate governance, international taxation and major foreign currency issues;
  • the embedding of both reflective practices and peer review processes at both the UG and PG level utilising the innovative, web-based, PRAZE, peer review technology from the University of Melbourne;
  • current national and international developments/reforms/issues in accounting for superannuation funds, regulatory theory (superannuation-related/political economics), and accounting for employee benefits
