  • Foundation member and current leader of the Queensland Sleep Health Network

  • Chair, Australasian Sleep Trials Network Insomnia steering group + research committee.

  • Member, Australian Psychological Society and recently invited by the ASA education committee and the APS 2011 to deliver PD-endorsed workshops on sleep for registered psychologists.

  • Member, and past Qld Branch secretary, of the APS College of Clinical Neuropsychologists.

  • Member, Australasian Sleep Association: Clinical Committee 2006-2008, Conference Committee 2005-6, Chair of Insomnia & Sleep Health Section 2006-7, Membership Committee 2007, and other activities – see below).


Dr Smith has co-ordinated and taught into advanced level undergraduate, fourth year,  and post-graduate psychology subjects. He currently provides guest lectures for undergraduate psychology students.
