Biography
Professor Stephen Ritchie is now the Dean of Education at Murdoch University (s.ritchie@murdoch.edu.au). He continues to hold an adjunct appointment in the School of Curriculum. He has authored numerous research publications on topics related to- teaching and learning science in classrooms and laboratories

- leadership dynamics within school science departments.
Current projects focus on
- writing for scientific literacy
- socioscientific issues
- emotions and identities of beginning science teachers in practice
- emotions in learning and teaching.
Steve was the Editor-in-Chief of Research in Science Education (2008-2012). Professor Ritchie was the coordinator (2010-2012) of the Professional Doctorate program in Education (EdD) at QUT.
