Biography
Prior to employment at QUT, Sherrena held a number of positions within chartered accounting firms and mining companies. Sherrena is a CA member of CA ANZ and served on their careers and marketing committee for many years. She has strong links to the accounting profession. Sherrena has considerable teaching and technology experience and has held a number of key leadership roles in the School of Accountancy including Accountancy undergraduate program coordinator for six years, Teaching and Learning Chair for 2 years and the coordinator for the new undergraduate and postgraduate financial planning programs in the QUT Business School for 2.5 years. Sherrena was awarded a 2019 QUT Business School Recognition Award for her extensive work on developing and accrediting these new programs in a rapidly changing financial planning education environment in Australia. Other Awards - Vice Chancellor Performance Awards for 2007, 2009 and 2012. Research interests include:- Financial Planning
