Biography
Background Robin has spent most of her working life in the retail industry, in management and training roles, whilst studying part-time. While undertaking her PhD she lectured and tutored in the Department of Industrial Relations at Griffith University, and joined QUT as a member of the academic staff in 2004. Robin is interested in all aspects of employment relations. Robin's research is primarily on labour use strategies and the interplay with the regulatory framework. She is currently researching comparative trade union strategies and young people's experience and knowledge of work.

Robin is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She primarily teaches employment relations units at postgraduate and undergraduate level, but also teaches HRM units.
