Mr Ross Daniels

BiographyWithin Social Work and Human Services, Ross Daniels is responsible for units dealing with human rights, political economy and legal context of welfare. Ross has had considerable involvement in social welfare issues in Queensland working as a social worker for 12 years before commencing employment at QUT. He has served on the Boards of a number of welfare organisations. Ross has been involved in regional and international human rights issues and served as the International Chairperson of Amnesty International for four years. He has held positions with Amnesty Australia, Amnesty Queensland, Australians for Native Title and Reconciliation, QCOSS, Solidarity Groups with Iraq and Palestinian, and acted as Advisor to Human Rights and Peace Society Nepal. Ross has had experience in human rights and development in a number of developing countries. Ross has an interest in the integration of information and communication technologies in learning and teaching.
