Biography
Background
Phil joined QUT in February 2008, having worked previously as a lecturer and unit coordinator of taxation and accounting at Central Queensland University in Rockhampton.
Prior to joining the academic sector in 2003, Phil had an extensive experience in tax practice in Brisbane. Phil also worked in various accounting positions in corporations in Europe, the UK and Australia.
Phil's research has focused on the costs and benefits of tax compliance for small businesses. This research has been the object of Phil's PhD and of a number of publications in peer reviewed publications.
His current research also includes the preparation of a paper on the taxation of externalities of road transport.
