Dr Neta Nainggolan

Biography
Neta has completed her PhD in 2011 at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and was awarded a QUT Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award for 2011 for the thesis entitled “Taking a leap of faith: Are investors left short changed?” In the same year, Neta received Doctoral Student Award for the paper “On the performance of Islamic equity funds,” from a highly prestigious conference, Midwest Finance Association, USA. Previously, Neta took master of commerce in finance from the University of Melbourne and graduated with honours. Neta Nainggolan has research interests in fund management, ethical fund, socially responsible investment, disclosure and reporting, corporate finance, and corporate governance. Neta has published her paper “Optimal trading range and firm value around the Asian financial crisis,” in a refereed international journal Afro-Asian Journal of Finance and Accounting in 2009. Currently, Neta is doing postdoctoral fellowship at QUT and working on several papers such as fund disclosure and board characteristics, the ethical compliance of Islamic equity funds, fund financial performance and ethical screening intensity, and the survival of socially responsible investment.Personal details
