Biography
Melinda is a lecturer in the School of Early Childhood at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane. Her research and service interests include embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, cultural studies, reconciliation, and teacher professional development. Melinda is an experienced facilitator of action research projects and professional development workshops for educators and teachers in long day care, family day care, outside school hours care, and formal schooling contexts. Melinda teaches in the area of child development at QUT, with a particular focus on children's speech and language development. She is also a supervisor for field experience.
