Biography
Meegan Brown is a lecturer and the Study Area Co-ordinator of the Master of Education School Guidance and Counselling at QUT. Her research and teaching interests include trauma-aware schooling, rural and remote education, educators experiences of working with students living with the effects of trauma, and School Guidance and Counselling. Teaching
Meegan had over 20 years of experience working as teacher (early childhood, primary, secondary), small school principal, Guidance Officer and Senior Guidance Officer in North West Queensland. Her professional experiences and research inform her teaching in the higher education setting at QUT. Meegan is the study area co-ordinator of the Masters of Education School Guidance and Counselling.
In 2020 Meegan was awarded the Executive Dean's Award for Excellence in Leanring and Teaching - Faculty of Education.
