I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Language, Cognition and Brain Sciences lab. Work conducted within the lab focuses on investigating the neural and cognitive mechanisms responsible for language processing in healthy individuals, how these mechanisms are affected by neurological conditions, and how language recovery can be facilitated by various treatments. My work is across a range of research projects investigating the neurobiology of language in both healthy and language-impaired individuals. At the moment we are working with brain tumour patients to investigate language outcome after brain tumour resection, with epilepsy patients to gather intracranial EEG data and with healthy participants to investigate control mechanisms and if there is evidence for embodied cognition in the language domain. For our brain tumour project we have set up a collaboration with the TUM (Technical University of Munich, Germany) in which we investigate the applicability of TMS for pre-surgical language mapping.
