Biography
Helen Yeates researches and teaches in film and media studies and has published extensively in the following areas: the representation of ageing masculinities in popular television series such as The Sopranos, NYPD Blue and Cracker; sport and the media; gender, crime and the media; history of the film industry in Queensland. She also has been teaching for many years at the postgraduate level, engaging in particular with issues regarding approaches to enquiry within the creative industries.
