Teaching

Helen Klaebe is the Strategic Advisor for QUT’s International Projects Unit delivering high quality capacity building programs in developing countries for QUT. IPU's mission is to promote the university's engagement in international development projects and positively contribute to development outcomes, broadening QUT's international and industry networks and contributing to our research and innovation agenda. Since 2018 Klaebe has led $7.5million in international development consultancies (Australia Awards programs). Since 2001, IPU has delivered more than 200 projects in the areas of:

  • health
  • leadership, governance and change management
  • business and entrepreneurship
  • education and VET
  • private sector development and capacity building.

IPU is experienced in delivering projects in South and West Asia, Indonesia, The Philippines, Vietnam, Myanmar, PNG and the Pacific, Africa and Latin America. Klaebe is also a Professor of Creative Writing in the Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice Faculty, is a Principal Fellow HEA (UK), and has extensive expertise and academic experience in graduate research training and the professional development of researchers.
