Teaching

Teaching discipline: Information Systems.

Main Teaching Duties:

- Principal supervisor of research fellow, 5 PhD students, 1 Doctor of IT, and several master project students. - Coordinator of Mobile Computing specialisation in Bachelor of IT and Master of IT, teaching third year and master students in ubiquitous computing and mobile app development

Units taught:

IAB230 (Mobile and Ubiquitous Computing), IFN661 (Mobile and Pervasive Systems), and IAB330 (Mobile App Development).

Teaching principles:

Strong nexus of research-teaching-corporate engagement is the aim of my teaching/learning. Previously (since 2004), I have taught a wide-range of courses in IT, including: Mobile App. Developments, Emerging Technologies, Interaction Design, Web Development, Advanced Multimedia Systems, Multimedia Systems, Introduction to Databases, Professional Studies, Business Systems Analysis, and ICT life cycle. My teaching survey is always above 4.5 (out of 5), particularly on “the teacher has a good manner … friendly, helpful, enthusiastic, and professional” since 2004. My teaching excellence has been awarded with Vice Chancellor Performance awards and Faculty's Excellence in Teaching awards.
