Dr Deb Brosseuk

BiographyDeb Brosseuk is a Lecturer within the School of Early Childhood and Inclusive Education at QUT. She has worked in the Early Years of formal schooling for over 20 years as an educator in Queensland State and Independent schools. Deb has a Masters Degree in Educational Studies, with a major in Boys Education. Deb recently submitted her PhD study, titled LAUNCH-ing an Organic Literacy Pedagogy to Stimulate Text Production among Learners in the Early Years for external examination. Her study makes a case for Early Years educators to carefully craft pedagogies to better understand ways in which today's young learners can externalize their text production capabilities and express their text production identity.
In 2017, Deb was awarded a Vice-Chancellor’s Performance Award for teaching at QUT, recognising her expertise in literacy education. Deb teaches in the areas of Early Years literacy, English, and professional experience. Her research interests include:

- Qualitative research
