Biography
I am a business and management researcher with a focus on organisational theories and supply chains. In particular, my research examines the mechanisms and dynamics of digital and sustainable operations in logistics and supply chains with the goal of providing innovative solutions to academics, managers and practitioners. In 2018, I was awarded my PhD from Griffith University and after my graduation, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the triple-accredited Vienna University of Economics and Business in Austria.Prior to my academic career, I gained experience in the global supply chain and logistics industry for more than ten years: I worked as a Financial Analyst in Germany and as a Country Operations Manager in Austria for FedEx Express, a Fortune 500 logistics company. During my time in Austria, my team and I turned the Vienna station into an Eastern European hub resulting in global service improvements, cost savings and a platform for future growth. For these achievements I was awarded the Five Star Award, the highest accolade for leadership excellence within FedEx Express.
From a research perspective, I am committed to publishing high-quality research and I am continuously undertaking research that leads to publications in leading academic journals. My research has been published widely in international academic journals and I have held visiting teaching and research positions in Europe, the United States and in Australasia.
If you are interested in doing a PhD in strategy, supply chain or logistics management with a focus on sustainability or digitalization, feel free to contact me. Ideally, you have already published in peer-reviewed journals.

Teaching
My teaching experience comprises both face-to-face as well as online teaching in the areas of Entrepreneurship, Strategy and Supply Chains with a focus on Digital Transformation and Sustainability. I have taught across several universities in Australia, but I gained international teaching experiences from my postdoctoral position at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and through lectures in Asia, mainly in Singapore and China. I am also lucky to be frequently invited to hold guest lectures in Europe, among them the SGH Warsaw School of Economics and the Cracow University of Economics (UKE) in Poland.
Experience
I have great interest in real world collaborations and have been involved in several industry projects, cooperating with the senior management in several corporations, agencies and business associations. For example, I worked with with the taxi industry to evaluate the impact of Uber and other share-riding provider, developed future transport scenarios for freight forward associations, investigated the role of courier drivers in cities and studied the potentials for a shift from road freight to rail. The range of industry partners usually comprises multi-national companies, but also industry associations and SMEs.
