Biography
I have extensive experience in the higher education sector spanning more than 15 years. Academic and professional roles held across three Qld universities include: course co coordinator, lecturer/tutor, researcher, and project manager for small scale and larger projects of national significance. My tertiary education includes: PhD (QUT), Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education (QUT) and BA Humanities with Honours (GU). I also have significant industry experience across state and local governments. I am currently a Senior Research Associate working with Professor Belinda Carpenter’s team on an ARC Linkage project "Managing Family Objection to Autopsy: A case study of the Queensland Coronial System". My multidisciplinary background encompasses Education, Sociology and Criminology discipline areas.Research interests
female offending, corrections, death investigation, coronial system, qualitative research and feminist methodologies, and Teaching and Learning in higher education.
