Biography
Dr. Bryan Tuten began his career in chemistry at West Virginia Wesleyan College where he received a B.S. in Chemistry in 2010. From there he moved to the University of New Hampshire where he began his Ph.D in Materials Science and Engineering under the supervision of Professor Erik Berda focusing on the design, synthesis, and analysis of single-chain polymer nanoparticles (SCNPs). Following the completion of his Ph.D, Bryan accepted a position as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Christopher Barner-Kowollik where he focused on the design and synthesis of new visible light triggered photo-ligations. Currently, Bryan is a senior postdoctoral research fellow in the Soft Matter Materials group at Queensland University of Technology, also led by Prof. Dr. Barner-Kowollik.
Bryan is interested in a wide array of macromolecular chemistry ranging from organic and monomer synthesis, SCNPs, 3D-printed photo-resists, and new visible light triggered photo-ligations.
