Biography
Dr Alison Bowers is a Research Fellow with QUTs Cancer and Palliative Care Outcomes Centre, School of Nursing and the Centre of Health Transformation and is based at the Centre for Children's Health Research.Alison holds an honorary position with Children's Health Queensland and is a Director of the Australian College of Children and Young People's Nurses.
Alison is an experienced paediatric nurse with an interest in paediatric palliative care, health services research and medicinal cannabis clinical trials. Her PhD thesis aimed to inform health service planning for paediatric palliative care services by exploring the characteristics, demographics and health needs of children and young people with life-limiting conditions in Queensland.
Alison continues to conduct research in the field of paediatric palliative care and has expertise in analysis of linked data and clinical trial project management and coordination.
