Biography
Alayna has worked for global multidisciplinary consultancies, private sector organisations and Government agencies. She has been a Director of a multi-national business and held numerous leadership positions in private practice and the public sector. Her knowledge of business and operations is extensive, enabling her to successfully deliver projects as a consultant and a client. Complementing this, Alayna has prepared a number of policies and guidance notes that mandate outcomes across various sectors.
Alayna is also sought after for her skills in Indigenous and First Nations research, design and advisory. This includes her providing these specialist advisory services to Government agencies and private business, as well as being asked regularly to speak at conferences, convene panels and prepare publications on these topics. She has worked with many Indigenous and First Nations communities in Australia and New Zealand and has been very active in this space in both her professional and personal life for the better part of the last two decades.
Alayna has also worked on some of Australia and NZ's largest Public Private Partnerships (PPPs), including budgets ranging from $250k - $1b, and is well versed at working with a broad spectrum of clients and communities, with a dedicated focus on human rights and Indigenous affairs. Supporting this, Alayna has presented at international conferences, prepared and given expert evidence, is invited regularly to give guest lectures and speaks publicly on an array of topics. Beyond this, Alayna serves on a number of expert committees, boards and panels that require her judgement on social, environmental, cultural and economic issues or outcomes.
