Teaching

My philosophy of teaching develops from my commitment to developing innovative pedagogical practice. I actively teach pre-service teachers the concept of learning ‘exchange.’ Effective teaching and learning cannot be separated from one another and both teachers and students bring something valuable to the table. To this end, effective teaching for me involves designing, creating, implementing and evaluating learning situations, events and episodes contextualized in the ‘real world’ concerns and contexts of teachers and learners. I bring to my teaching 28 years of experience in secondary, tertiary and primary domains and in international contexts. (Dr Anita Jetnikoff) 2007-2015:
