- Associate Professor Axel Bruns spoke to Radio National Drive (audio file) about the federal government's new social media policy for Dept of Prime Minister and Cabinet staff.
- Professor Graham Kerr and Associate Professor Gene Moyle's research into the physical and wellbeing benefits of Queensland Ballet's Dance for Parkinson's project made it to Ballet News and 4BC.
- Dr Stephen Harrington's Conversation piece highlighted the Ten Network's bleak future, while Suzy Wood and Dr Nic Suzor's Conversation piece explored Baidu's censorship paradox.
- The Fairfax network sought Dr Mark McGovern's opinion after the federal government refused to allow a foreigner to buy a house in Sydney.
- The APN network ran Felicity Lawrence's story calling for public servants to spill the beans on cyberbullying.
- Professor Alan McKee's research on why parents, rather than porn, are teenagers' best source of sex advice aired across the ABC Radio network including Hobart.
- QUT Visual Arts graduate and now tutor Jemima Wyman's GOMA Children's Exhibition featured on ABC News, Brisbane Times and Weekend Edition.
- Design grad Sam James' Corsuit training device, commercialised with the help of bluebox, featured on Channel Nine and Swim Vortex.
- The Sunshine Coast Daily featured new QUT lecturer and PhD researcher Marnee Shay, who's believed to be the first indugenous graduate to receive a Chancellor's Medal from the USC.
- Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia debutante Hayley Elsaesser's innovative Redneck Nostalgia label featured in a Fibre2Fashion article.
- ABC 612 spoke to fashion grad Edwina Sinclair about carving out a successful career. vibrant fashion industry.
- Professor Lynne Daniels was heard across the ABC Radio network in Queensland network about the PEACH program roll-out.
- Nurse practitioner and head of QUT's Wound Healing Outreach Service Michelle Gibb spoke to 4BC about how to tell if you have chronic wound.
- Professor Peter Corke's expertise was sought by ABC Sydney's Drive program following the release of a productivity report about robotics.
