QUT's Young Accelerators Program has been running since 2013 and has received several accolades in recognition of the high-quality programming delivered to students, teachers, schools and inudstry partners.
Become a QUT STEM Student Ambassador!
- Are you passionate about what you study?
- Do you love being a QUT student and would be happy to promote QUT?
- Are you a confident and experienced presenter?
- Do you enjoy learning and in turn teaching new concepts to others?
- Are you a professional who is keen to develop relationships with other QUT staff and academics?
We provide meaningful STEM experiences for high school students to build enthusiasm and skills in STEM, creativity, and entrepreneurship.
We are currently recruiting undergraduate students to join our talented Student STEM Ambassador team in 2022.
Why be a STEM Ambassador?
Inspire the next generation of STEM leaders and innovators. Our Student Ambassadors play an important role in delivering many of our program activities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- represent QUT to prospective students and display a positive image of QUT and its courses
- delivery of the workshops program
- support large, multi-school events
- ensuring your skills and knowledge required for your duties are up-to-date
- opportunities to assist with the development of new program resources.
The benefits to students undertaking a Student Ambassador role include:
- developing your communication skills and graduate capabilities
- using your STEM skills and knowledge to teach others
- developing your professional identity and networks
- promoting something you are passionate about.
Who can apply?
Applications are open to all QUT domestic undergraduate students.
