Motivated Coomera Anglican College Students Adapt and Receive CIQ Awards
A CIQ Team, led by Director Antoine Barnaart, recently presented the CIQ Student Incentive Awards at the Coomera Anglican College (CAC) Junior Secondary assembly.
The Incentive Award Program recognises students who remained motivated and successfully adapted to studying and learning Chinese from home during Term Two. CAC is one of ten CIQ Confucius Classroom schools and is an active and valued partner with QUT. CAC and CIQ work together to promote the study of Chinese language and culture from Prep to Year 12 within the school.
Lisha Song, CIQ Business and Education Coordinator, commented ‘I was really touched by the supportive comments from award winning students and their parents, who said a big thank you to CIQ for establishing the awards.’
Janette Liu, Head of Chinese at CAC, said, ‘These CIQ Awards were offered at just the right time, to provide the extra encouragement for our students to adapt to the work from the “at home” teaching and learning arrangements our school had to put in place as a result of COVID 19.’

Grace Taylor, Year 12
